When people encounter challenges in life, they can gain a new perspective by talking to a therapist. I help people overcome their obstacles to achieve their personal goals.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education from the University of Illinois, and later returned to the university to receive my Master of Social Work degree. My internship was at the V.A. Medical Center in Danville, Illinois, where I worked primarily in the substance abuse and psychiatric units. I then worked for several years as a clinical therapist at the Piatt County Mental Health Center in Monticello, Illinois, and later in the Psychiatry Department at Christie Clinic in Champaign. My private practice at Birch Tree Counseling & Consulting LLC began in 2003.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois.
